Malawi is eines der ärmsten Länder der Welt und ist ein Binnenstaat in Südostafrika. Der überwiegende Teil der Bevölkerung lebt von weniger als 1,25 USD am Tag. Jeden Tag sterben ca. 10 Mütter bei Geburt ihres Kindes. Ca. 1.000.000 Waisenkinder leben in Malawi. Diese sind der Grund warum Open Arms Malawi existiert.

Waisenkinder bedürfen eines besonderen Schutzes und einer besonderen Fürsorge. Zum Beispiel um zu verhindern, dass sie wie unzählige andere als Straßenkinder leben müssen. Open Arms sorgt für medizinische Versorgung, für ein Zuhause, Nahrung, Schulausbildung und vieles mehr. Open Arms schenkt Waisenkindern eine Kindheit.

Vor diesem Hintergrund freue ich mich, mit meiner Teilnahme am London to Paris Cycle für Open Arms Malawi hier einen kleinen Teil für diesen guten Zweck beitragen zu können und freue mich, wenn jeder der Besucher meiner Seite dies auch tut ;-) Ein tolles, sehr unterstützenswertes Projekt - mehr info auf: http://www.openarmsmalawi.org

Spenden ist denkbar einfach, Your credit cards are highly appreciated..., eine Packung Zigaretten weniger, ein Cocktail weniger, ein Parkticket weniger - ganz im Sinne von "be smart, save money, donate instead! ;-)"
Und schon ist das Minimumziel von Spenden in Höhe von 500 Pfund leicht vervielfacht.

Eure Unterstützung schätze sich sehr und freue mich, wenn Ihr auch den Haken setzen könnt bei:

Für jeden Spender, der mindestens 5 britische Pfund spendet, spende ich auch jeweils 5 britische Pfund. Gilt für die ersten 50 Spender, sprich mein persönlicher Cap liegt ggf. bei 250 GBP. Und jetzt, Taten statt Worte.

Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world. An estimated 74% of the population lives below 1.25$ a day, maternal mortality remains high. Statistics suggest that 10 women unnecessarily die each day through childbirth contributing to the shocking statistic that there are 1,000,000 orphans in Malawi.
And that is why Open Arms exists.
Open Arms returns, supports and monitors immunised and fit toddlers to their relatives when we can, and give children the chance to grow up within a loving family environment and the security of a home.

Due to this I am very happy supporting for the good cause of Open Arms Malawi with participating in the Travelzoo London to Paris Cycle. My Happiness would be even increased if everyone of the visitors of my page will do the same an contribute a small amount for making look my personal donation aim of 500 GBP a ridiculous amount. ;-)

Donating is so easy. You are already sitting in front of the computer so everything necessary is already set up. Just get out your credit card and start donating. A package of cigarettes, one cocktail less, parking tickets, there are so many opportunities to save.... so be smart, save money and donate instead! ;-)
