Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For those who may not know, thanks to the incredible efforts of Homerton's Urology Unit in April, I received the swift care and attention needed to help me beat cancer by October. ππ»
And though the treatment and care I received at St Bart's were second-to-none, they get LOADS of funding (rightly so) from folks the world over. But without the dedication and decisiveness of the guys at Homerton, I would not have received the all-clear when I did, if at all... (a special shout out to Dr Pati, Dr Yeo and Dr Eugene, and their respective teams.) π π©πΎββοΈπ©π»ββοΈπ¨π»ββοΈ
So this January I'm taking on a rather large running challenge in a bid to raise funds for Homerton Hope β 2,022km in 31 days...
But don't worry - I'm not mental. Luckily I'm blessed to have brothers-in-arms in my Running Club who've jumped at the chance to join in and help me hit a collective goal. If you'd like to contribute some km's to the cause, let me know and I'll invite you to join our Strava group!
The goal is to raise enough money for Homerton Hope, who've agreed to devote the funds directly to Urology, in a bid to provide some much-deserved headspace and happiness during their long shifts.
The current front-runner is a posh coffee machine and/or comfy furniture for their staffroom (they reluctantly declined my suggestion of a staff puppy).
And any donation is massively appreciated. π
Thanks,
Nils.
