We support domestic abuse victims to help thousands in Norfolk

Story

The Norwich School Girls 1st XI Hockey team and coaches are participating in a group cycle in aid of local charity Leeway Domestic Violence and Abuse Services. Together we will cycle the length of 14,000 hockey pitches, which is equivalent to the distance from the most northern point in the UK (Dunnet Head) to the most southern point (Lizard Point). Each player will cover a distance of 90km throughout the week (from Monday 4th of May to Sunday 10th of May) leading to a grand total of 1336km cycled altogether.

We decided to support Leeway Domestic Violence and Abuse Services because as a result of the national lockdown, the number of 999 responder calls regarding issues related to domestic abuse has risen rapidly and it is now the primary reason for emergency calls in the UK. Leeway supports victims of domestic violence and abuse in Norfolk and therefore we feel it is a very worthwhile cause, especially during these challenging times for local charities.

We would greatly appreciate your support and donations.
