Story
Allan Deeson, school service volunteer, says - "It was when I first became a grandrather that I became interested in the welfare and safety of not only my own family, but children in the wider community. This was why I became a Schools Service Volunteer, talking to children to encourage them to Speak Out and Stay Safe.
During my time volunteering I have seen children who need help and I have a greater realisation of how valuable a service this is. Involvement in the School Service has given me a better understanding of the risks faced by young children but also brought me into contact with similarly minded people who give up their time to help keep children safe.
Together we are joining together to walk the Edinburgh Kiltwalk to help to raise awareness and funds for the Speak Out, Stay Safe School Service. We hope you can support us.
