Story
On 30 July I will ride non-stop from London to Edinburgh and back to London. My aim is to cover the 1400km+ in sub 80 hours. I will have the opportunity to grab a few hours rest en route as the event will have some checkpoints in village halls and schools, but otherwise I will be riding through each night.
I have chosen the Rifles Care For Casualties (C4C) charity given my close affiliation with the Regiment and, having lost a number of close friends, as well as seeing many more sustain life changing injuries. Your donations will make a real positive impact on their lives and the lives of their families.
Donations might be used for the following:
Up to £15000 - car adaptations for amputees (triple amputee recently supported cost £15000)
£3000 - retrain a Reserves Rifleman following injury preventing return to former occupation
£2000 - lightweight wheelchair for a disabled Rifleman
£700 - laptop for a blind Rifleman to run specialist software to aid communication
£100 - essential items in a C4C package for those admitted to Selly Oak Hospital
Please be generous - I will be immensely grateful for any contribution!
Please note I have covered all my entry costs myself. Anything you give will go to C4C. Additionally the first £1000 raised will be matched by Barclays too.
Thank you for your support!
