The idea for our Coast to Coast cycle came about when a group of us here at Upton Hall School decided that we wanted to mark our impending retirement in a way that was both enjoyable and worthwhile. Despite the scepticism some of us were met with when we came up with this plan , we have persevered with our training and are now good to go ! We will be cycling about 110 miles over 4 days , finishing up in Newcastle, having started just outside Carlisle. Our friend , Olga, in whose memory we are cycling really was an adventurer ; there were very few corners of the world she hadn't explored , so our little jaunt is very tame by comparison , but might not feel like that by Day 3 ! St John's Hospice does wonderful work and they are wholly reliant on donations  , so every contribution , however small , will help to do great things. We will post an update when we have completed our challenge .Thank you for taking the time to read this .
