Following a fire on 12th January 2016, Forget Me Not Children's Hospice closed its doors for 14 days, losing up to £140,000 after fundraising capacity levels were affected

Story

Last year I met a fantastic girl who I had the pleasure of mentoring. In the same year I also found out I was pregnant.

During this year, this fantastic girl became a great friend. This great friend told me of how she had lost her daughter Ava one week before her 1st birthday. She also told me all about the hospice and how they helped all of the family in a really terrible time. So I want to do this as a thank you for helping my friend and her family.

Like I said I also found out I was expecting my first child. Elliott. Now, I really understand how much love a child brings to your life and will hopefully never know how it feels for them to go.

So in memory of Ava and as a thankyou for all the hospice did for Emma and her family I am raising money. Please donate what you can.

Forget Me Not Children’s Hospice supports children with life shortening conditions and their families in West Yorkshire. They support children and families in many different ways to make their lives just a little bit easier. From offering respite to hydrotherapy, music therapy, neonatal care, counselling or bereavement support; their care team supports the whole family both at their purpose built hospice in Huddersfield as well in families own homes. They need to raise £3.8million each year with just 6% of this coming from government sources.
