Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my Race for Life page.
I'm not much of a runner but having been reassured that the 5K Race for Life really isn't that far and that it is perfectly okay to walk, dance or skip to the finish line, I have decided that I'm up for the challenge.
Throughout the training, fundraising and the race itself my thoughts will be with the bravest woman that I know, my Auntie Julie. Julie courageously battled Cancer (both Breast and Lung) 3 times in her 47 years. She was an inspirational lady with untold strength who never stopped fighting to be with the people she loved. She sadly passed away in September 2012 and since then our lives have not been the same. We love and miss her more and more each day but take comforted in the knowlege that she is no longer in pain. Though she won't be there is person to support me I know that she will be watching over me every step of the way, the brightest star in the sky.
Too many amazing people have been lost to this nasty disease so events like Race for Life are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. A cure for Cancer won't be discovered over night but every donation helps and by sponsoring me you are taking Cancer Research a little step closer to reaching it's ultimate goal. My Aunite Julie never gave up in her fight to survive so lets fight Cancer together and never give up in the search for a cure!!!
Gift Aid it!
If you're a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no cost to you.
Sponsor me now, and we can become cancer's worst nightmare.
One day we will beat cancer. Help us make it sooner.
