Story

It’s very hard to describe what our family has been through these last 11 months, and even harder to explain how amazing, strong and courageous our little Orla was throughout her battle with cancer, but one thing is clear to both me and Naomi, and that is Orla would not have got through half of it, if it wasn’t for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Childhood cancer is something that you never think would impact your children, but every week, around five children in the UK lose their lives to cancer. That’s five families who are faced with the worst news imaginable.

To help in the fight against this horrible disease, Great Ormond Street Hospital have launched the Build It. Beat It campaign to help raise funds for a new cancer centre and facilities.

Our proposals for a new cancer facility | Great Ormond Street Hospital (gosh.nhs.uk)

The new Childrens Cancer Centre at GOSH will save children’s lives offering new facilities to help families stay together during their child’s treatment, a dedicated ICU for cancer patients, outdoor play areas and most importantly help create breakthrough therapies which will benefit children all over the world."

This page in particular will be used for donations from Orla's memorial service, which will all go into Orla's Brighter Future Fund and towards the Children's Cancer Centre.

Everyone has been so generous over the past 11 months, already donating to the GoFund me page we had for Orla (some of which will go towards this fund). We thank you in advance for continuing to support Orla and her legacy in helping other children beat cancer.

Love Adam, Naomi, Ava, Poppy & Orla xxx
