Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
2011 is the year that Oxfam Macclesfield celebrates 30 years on Mill Street, Macclesfield, Cheshire. SK11 6NH and in November of the same year one of our volunteers celebrates her 30th anniversary of volunteering at Oxfam. To celebrate we have already had a bit of birthday party and a fashion show on April 14th and we plan lots of other fundraising activities - building a classroom where it is most needed is just one of them.
Over the next couple of months we will be sending out invitations to volunteers - past and present - for a special lunch on November 6th (venue and ticket cost still to be arranged) celebrating 200 years of volunteering since 1981 and we are asking supporters to donate now to our fundraising by helping us to build a classroom. 200 years of volunteering is the accummulation of the number of years many of our volunteers have given to Oxfam Mill Street Macclesfield and the best thank you of all would be to reach our £1700 goal.
Please help teachers – get the builders in. Can they fix it? You bet – they’ll fix the floors, walls and roofs, put in blackboards and furniture. Classier classrooms make for brighter pupils so let’s make them bigger and better. Their quote includes materials and labour, but not the tea with four sugars.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now.
