Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

By entering the 10km course of this years Palma de Mallorca Marathon we are hoping to raise money to help the British Red Cross provide aid to the people affected by the devastating hurricanes that swept through the Caribbean this year.

Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Maria were unprecedented  category five storms that have left entire islands in tatters. Forcing people to abandon their homes and livelihoods. The road to recovery will be a long one and we feel the least we can do as yachtsmen and women who have visited the region repeatedly is show support for the islanders in their time of need.

The British Red Cross is part of the international red cross and red crescent movement, the worlds largest independent humanitarian network. Their expertise and experience in dealing with the short term and long term affects of natural disasters means the money we raise together will be put to good use helping the islands get back on their feet.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
