As many of you know I'm raising funds for the Princess Royal Neonatal Unit in Glasgow where my best mate's beautiful boy was cared for last October when he came into the world a tiny wee (big) bit too early. At 28 weeks Angus weighed only 1.11lb and our glorous boy is only with us today thanks to the phenomenal Medical and Nursing care given to him by all the team at the Princess Royal along with much TLC (and story reading) from his Mummy, Daddy and the rest of Team McKenny-Martin. If you've been lucky enough to meet him you'll know what an absolute wee corker he is - the world is definitely a better place for having him in it.

So on the 2nd October I'll be running/ limping round the 26.2mile Inverness marathon track in the hope of raising some dosh for a very good cause. In my head and heart I'll be thinking of Gus Gus and his tremendous parents, Mummy Sue and Daddy Martin-and when my legs get sore and I'm feeling like chucking it I'll remember the parents who weren't so lucky. If they can get themselves up and out of bed to face a day without their babes then I can get my somewhat wobbly bottom round this track.
