Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and thank you in advance for your donation, it is hugely appreciated. I lost my very dear friend Lt Paul Mervis, in June 2009, while he was serving in Afghanistan as one of the first officers to be commissioned into the newly formed Rifles Regiment. Paulie was just brilliant, I regularly attended parties with him where he was the life and soul, busting a groove on the dancefloor and he was always trying to educate me in literature and the benefits of red wine! I know he is hugely missed by friends and family, I certainly think about him all the time and in memory of him and other Riflemen I am running for this massively worthwhile cause.

*****Your donation covers my craziness in doing 2 sprint triathlons already this year and the 26.2 miles of the Paris Marathon! The Final challenge is an Olympic Triathlon 21st August - Your one donation covers all of these 4 exhausting challenges!!******

I'm hoping to raise as much money as possible for The Rifles Trust and The Rifles Recovery Project. This Project is aiming to develop an education, training and resettlement scheme for injured servicemen with permanent disability so that they can attain the best possible career choices according to his/her individual circumstances and ambitions.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.
