In memory of Paul Dove
We fund research & provide support to help people affected by brain tumours

Story

Our wonderful Dad/Husband Paul Dove was devastatingly diagnosed with a high grade brain tumour in March 2016. He chose to fight his battle privately but did so with unbelievable bravery and positivity.

He never complained or said the words ‘why me’, he accepted his fate and continued with a remarkably positive attitude. We all managed to pull strength from him and his determination to get us through a very difficult period and we truly made the very best of the very limited time we knew we had left with him.

We are so tremendously proud of him and he is and always will be a massive inspiration to us all. Dad expressed an interest in supporting the research into Brain Cancer in which there is currently no cure.

Following his life-extending brain surgery in March 2016 he bravely allowed for medical testing to be done on the de-bulk of his tumour. Speaking with him just the week before he passed, he said how much he wanted to protect our future generation in supporting the research to find a cure for this cruel disease.

The Brain Tumour Research and Support (BTRS) charity are an amazing organisation based in Yorkshire. They support those living with a brain tumour and their families but are also dedicated to the research to understanding a brain tumour and ultimately finding a cure to save so many lives.

  • Every two hours someone is diagnosed with a
    brain tumour in England.
  • Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of
    children and adults under 40.
  • Over £500m is spent on cancer research yet less than 2% is spent on brain tumours.
  • ANYONE can get a brain tumour at any point in
     life!

Awareness and understanding of the behaviours of brain tumours is low but the devastation caused by brain cancer is life changing. We would like to thank you from the very bottom of our hearts for any donation you can give to help continue our Dads fight to beating Brain Cancer.

Many thanks,

Margaret, Claire, Jo, Alanna and Family
