I am doing the London Winter Walk full marathon on the 27th February 2021 to support the amazing work The Samaritans do:
Each day around 16 people take their life in the UK and Ireland. In the next hour, we'll receive 600 calls for help.
The situation right now
6,213 people
died by suicide across the UK and Ireland in 2017.
5 million calls for help
are received by Samaritans a year.
10-15% increase
in running costs is what we need to answer every call.
