Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Marathon done in 4 hrs 2min and 30 secs

A little disapointed with my time, but proud that i have managed to raise so much for Bowel Cancer UK.

A BIG THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS DONATED.

My plan was to run the London Marathon before i reach 40, so this year is my last chance. My training starts in early January and to help me get focused i thought the extra pressure of running for charity would help me stay motivated.

My next thought  was to pick a Charity to run for?

Having lost both my Gran parents and more recently both My wife and myself lost our mums to Bowel Cancer. It is because of this that i have decided to try and raise much needed money for Bowel Cancer UK.

I also know that money is tight but if you can dig deep as every penny will help.

I will keep you updated with my training and take this opportunity to thank you if you have taken the time to donate.

Update. on 8th April

Well only 3 weeks to go, not sure if i've done enough long runs but to late now.

Target time has slipped from 3.30hrs to sub 4hrs.

Plan to do a training  session on the sand this Saturday then a 15mile run on Sunday.

Next week i have a 10 mile hill race on Saturday and Edinburgh 1/2 marathon at marathon pace on the Sunday.

Well, last big weekend of training.

11mile Hill race on Saturday with 3500+ feet of climbing followed by a 1/2 marathon at 9min pace on Sunday,

Think i need an easy week this week.

Big thanks to all who have donated.

Yours

Paul.
