Story
England Coastal and Border Walk 2000km starting 10th MAY 2019
I am walking 2000 km around the coastline of England as well as the Scottish and Welsh borders, taking in six national trust walks along my way. My journey begins on the 10th May 2019 at Winchester City Mill, the start of the South Downs Way to Eastbourne. The trek continues along the coast to Dover. I will then catch a coach to Ipswich.
The following day I will continue my long distance walk along the Norfolk coastal path from Great Yarmouth to Kings Lynn. The next part of my journey will begin at Skegness including the Yorkshire Wold Way from Kingston upon Hull to Filey and Scarborough where I will rest a few days and then trek along the coastline to Newcastle and thereafter walk inland along the Hadrians wall national trust path. Five days later I will be in Carlisle, where I will catch a coach to Chester to begin the Offa's Dyke Welsh border path to Bristol.
From
Bristol I will catch a coach to Minehead, Somerset where I will once again complete the South West Coast path walk to Poole. The total approximate distance is 2000 km or 1250 miles. I estimate it will take me 80-90 days to complete the long trek.
I will be carrying my Hammock and Tarp, sleeping in nature with an occasional BnB or YHA overnight stay.
The British Heart Foundation charity is a cause which I wholly support and I wish you to do the same. Please give generously to this worthwhile charity organisation and follow me on my journey via Facebook paularthur.9619
