Story

This is my journey in reverse order (most recent first). Its been a long couple of years, which started off with just doing one event and has snowballed.

I have three big events planned for 2017, amongst various other shorter distances.

The Wall (Hadrians Wall)
17th /18th June 2017
Starting off from Carlisle Castle following Hadrians Wall to Newcastle 69 miles.
More info is here www.ratrace.com/thewall/

Isle of Wight Challenge

29th / 30th April 2017
A tough full circle of the coastal footpaths of 66 miles of the island
More info is here www.isleofwightchallenge.com/

Jurassic Trail Half Marathon
23rd April 2017
Last chance for some hill training along the cliffs at West Bay.

Bournemouth Bay Half Marathon
2nd April 2017
Only a half!!

Lands End to John O'Groats (Virtual Challenge)
1084 miles recorded between 1st October 2016 and 28th March 2017

Millennium Way Ultra

5th March 2017
This was a 41 mile run from one side of Staffordshire to the other. More info is here www.beyondmarathon.com/millennium-way/.

Heartbreaker Marathon
Sunday 26th Feb 2017 starting from Sandy Balls. Not done this one before and looks a tough route.

2016
Salisbury 5-4-3-2-1 50 KM

On Sunday 14th August 2016 I took part in this 50 km trail run. It was such a hot day and the route was extremely challenging....I do pick them!!  But I managed to finish what was a very long day. Managed to collect another small amount of sponsorship to add to the total. So close to £3,000.00!!

Invader Marathon
Sunday 17th July a full off road marathon. The most unusual of runs I've done to date with a Roman theme. Runners in fancy dress, Romans on horse back at the start. Marshalls dressed as Romans. A tough run and one of the hottest days of the year.

Isle of Wight Challenge
On Saturday 30th April 2016 I competed in the Isle of Wight Challenge. One complete circuit of the island following the coastal footpaths. Unfortunately I had to pull out at the half way point 32 miles with an injury, but have already entered again next year as I feel the Island has beaten me this time.

West New Forest 50
On 30th March 2016 I ran 51.7 miles that took me to each of the following GP practices which form the West New Forest Locality and Healthcare Computing:
Fordingbridge - Lyndhurst - Brockenhurst - Sway - Wistaria - Webb-Peploe - Chawton House - Milford on Sea - New Milton - Arnewood - Barton - Twin Oaks - Healthcare Computing - Ringwood - Cornerways and finally back to Fordingbridge
I started at 0515 and got back to the pub in Fordingbridge for 1900.

New Forest 75km
Sunday 20th March 2016. This is part of the New Forest running festival weekend and will be a real test of the distance as its 46 miles.
(This was a boring 3 lap route, pretty tough - 9 hours)
West New Forest 50 Challenge on Wednesday 30th March 2016
(completed in 13 hours 45 minutes)

Build up training so far:
Since June 2015 I've clocked up 1500 miles

2015
Bournemouth Marathon
Sunday 4th October 2015. Completed in 4hrs 14 minutes

Meon Valley Marathon
Sunday 22nd November 2015 . This was tough - 5hrs 8 minutes
