This Sunday I’ll be walking 10 miles to raise money for the Royal London Hospital alongside my Sister Una to support her fundraising efforts.

🔵 Una was hit by a car in 2022. Her rehabilitation is ongoing but it was this hospital that treated her immediately after the accident and who got her back on her feet literally.

🔵 Una sustained fractures to her leg and right hand. The Royal London trauma team provided immediate and crucial support. After operations on her leg and hand, the team helped her to walk with a crutch. She was eventually discharged after 2 weeks.

🔵 Una’s very grateful for the care she received and is also delighted to report that over this last year, great progress has been made, with the much needed guidance, wisdom and encouragement from the consultants and physiotherapists at Royal London.

🔵 I can’t think of any better way to spend a Sunday afternoon walking along the River Lea in great company.
