Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page
Over the last few days of July, I will join 50 amateur cyclists and 12 pro cyclists to race some of the most renowned Alpine stages of the Tour de France.
Most of you know that I am a bit cycling mad, but this is going to be tougher than anything I have ever done before with some serious climbing (11,870m to be exact) to do over the three days. The 2008 Tour de France winner Carlos Sastre will also join us. It is the first time he is back at Alpe d’Huez since winning that all important stage in 2008.
My team and I have chosen to ride for the charity ‘Right To Play’
Right To Play believes that every child has the right to play! With your support, we will help provide vital life lessons through the transformative power of play - playing sports, playing games - allowing children around the world facing adversity the chance to be a kid and to shape a better future.
Our fundraising efforts will focus on Rwanda, a country learning to recover from its notorious, brutal genocide. We hope to provide up to 64,000 Rwandan children with the right to play through your help.
