There are currently 40.3 million people trapped in slavery world-wide. Yet most people still consider slavery a thing of the past. That's why we're challenging you to walk, run, cycle or swim 40.3 miles to raise awareness and funds to fight slavery

Story

Since 2016 there has been an increase of 10 million people living in a situation of modern slavery. It is one of the most horrific and complex issues we face today.

This Anti-Slavery week I am going to walk 40.3 miles, including the three North Yorkshire Peaks, to represent these people. I have the freedom, the simple freedom, to walk out my door and enjoy the beauty of nature around me. More than 40 million people don't.

I am doing this to raise awareness and to raise funds for Hope for Justice. Hope for Justice is a global anti-slavery charity fighting human trafficking and helping victims and survivors all over the world. They operate in 30+ locations across 5 continents including UK, Cambodia, Uganda, Ethiopia, US, Norway and Australia. Any donation you can make will go to this amazing work. We cannot see another such increase in the next 5 years. Let’s end slavery and change lives together. Thank you in advance for your support.
