I have recently completed  my 6th consecutive annual  trek for     AKIM-Jerusalem .

Money raised from this year's trek,  will help AKIM - Jerusalem to establish a  fully- accessible community centre designed to maintain and enhance the quality of life of  the charity's  many beneficiaries.You can learn more by googling AKIM-Jerusalem.

The 3-day trek was across the Carmel Mountain region  near Haifa which is  beginning only now  to  flourish  following  the devastating forest fire of  2010 .

  After a wet winter season the trails on which we hiked for about 8 hours each day, especially the rocks and the mountain stream beds , were challenging and  it was certainly  no walk in the park.

I am extremely grateful to  family members and friends for  their encouragement and kind sponsorship in the past  and, while I  am aware that there must be  many calls on their generosity ,  would   really appreciate it if  they  were  able to respond positively once again.
