Story

Dear Friends of Phil,

This page is dedicated to Phil who spent his final hours in the Borders General Hospital's Margaret Kerr Unit.

The  Unit is named after Nurse Margaret Kerr who inspired the appeal to build a specialist palliative care facility for the people of the Borders and is fully funded by charitable donations.

The team look after patients in their homes, community hospitals and care homes in and along with those in the BGH and MKU. Any donations to The Margaret Kerr Unit and Palliative Care fund are used to make improvements to the garden where patients and their families can take time to reflect in a peaceful environment. They also provide artwork throughout the Unit, assist with patient transport costs, provide complimentary therapies and develop palliative care services throughout the hospital and community.

Please give what you can and don't forget to say yes to the Gift Aid.

Thank you all for your support.

Love, Yvonne & Family.
