How do I describe Adrian Jones (Ade). Whilst working together at Merthyr College our friendship was instant (even before we realised we were both Prince fans!). A genuine, fun loving, happy go lucky individual who's glass was certainly always not half full but to the brim. Always there to lend a hand and advice with whatever your problems, a true top bloke! 

My lasting and most cherished memory of Ade was our trip to see Prince at the O2 in London 2007. Ade, myself, my brother & our friend Dave packed up the car an set off on a jolly boys outing. From start to finish we didn't stop laughing. Ade almost wetting himself as i came out of the filling station with 6 cans of Stella & a packet of Anadin extra's, Ade turning to me halfway through the show and shouting his head off as Prince started playing his favourite track. His face after standing for hours in the aftershow! A truly unforgettable weekend that the rest of us hold dear in our memory.

Waking early one Sunday morning trying to work out how I can help with raising money in Ade's memory the Cardiff half marathon popped into my head! Having never run for any length of time (couldn't run for a bus to be honest!) all i could think of was "If Ade can live with Diabetes for 19 years and still be as happy and full of life then I can certainly train and run 13 miles for him!"

I realise times are hard and money is tight but please donate to an extremly worthwhile cause!.
