The Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign supports the work of The Royal Marsden, raising money to help the hospital stay at the leading edge of cancer treatment, research and care. The Royal Marsden, Sutton has provided first class treatment to Philip's niece, Emma, for over 5 years now. Emma was diagnosed with breast cancer at 27 and every time she's needed treatment to push the cancer back the Marsden's been there to provide that care. This has included 4 cycles of cutting edge chemotherapy, securing Herceptin prior to its licensing and working with a spine specialist hospital to replace 2 parts of Emma's spine with titanium. Thanks to all this, Emma is currently receiving maintenance care to keep the cancer at bay. This is all thanks to their constant drive to provide the best treatments for all their patients, as well as carrying out vital research to improve these treatments even more and do their bit towards the ongoing quest for a cure.
