We support schools in rural South Africa to improve children's education & prospects

Story

Education is a cause close to my heart so please help me raise
vital funds for Khula Education.

I grew up in a small Kwa-Zulu Natal town in South Africa called
Greytown where many children in the surrounding rural areas don’t have access to basic early education, and as a result the cycle of poverty is an awful reality. I believe that education is one of the key areas that can radically and positively change people’s lives. Because of this, I’ve decided to raise funds for Khula Education - a small grassroots charity that’s working hard to create more opportunities for underprivileged children to access education, particularly in their early years of development.

In 2015, Khula opened Isesekelo Preschool in the Umzinyathi
District and it’s been inundated with children from the local community. Every penny I raise will go towards expanding Isesekelo Preschool so that it can provide more school places for 3 and 4 year olds.

See for yourself why I think this is a worthy cause: https://www.khula-education.org/

£50 provides learning materials for a whole class

£100 provides equipment for a Khula preschool

£300 provides 3 places at Khula’s Summer Camp - 5 days of
learning, playing, sharing ideas, making friends and discovering life outside of their villages and schools

£800 provides 1,000 books for Khula’s school libraries

£1,000 contributes to art classes for 1 year

£2,500 provides clean water for a whole school

£5,000 contributes towards teacher training for 1 year

£7,000 pays a preschool teacher for 1 year

Thank you,

Phil
