Story
Earlier this year I was fortunate enough to visit Rainedge, a part of Phoenix Community Care Ltd, a charity based in Nakuru, Kenya who are working with some of poorest and most vulnerable children and teenagers in the area. They run an orphanage, a primary and secondary school and various projects providing vital local employment including a bakery, a water purification and distribution from their own on-site bore hole.
The Kenyan government has recently changed the national school curriculum and Rainedge can't afford to buy all the new text books necessary to teach the children the required syllabus.
Whilst there I met Sonia (not her real name), pictured above, she is 10 years old and lives at the orphanage. She is thriving example of the incredible work the charity do and I would love her and her friends to continue their education so that she can realise her dream of training to be a pilot when she leaves school.
I would be so grateful if you could sponsor me for these horrible runs. One down last weekend (6th July), three to go! Alternatively you may like to sponsor a child like Sonia, please see http://www.rainedgeinternational.org/sponsorship-2/
Thank you so much!
