As it was unlikely we were going to be able to run the fundraising hike planned in North Wales this year due to Covid19, we came up with the idea of a virtual fundraising hike instead! On the 12th September participants will be hiking the same distance as the route they would've signed up for on the actual hike, either 6, 10, 12 or 15km, but doing it in their local area, back garden or up and down their stairs!
On the same day a number of Climbing Out participants will be joining Kelda, the founder of the charity, in an Adaptive Tri-Challenge. They'll be completing a gruelling 20km hike, 60km kayak & a 80km fixed cycle, with the aim of completing all 3 legs within 24 hours. The aim of the Tri challenge is to raise awareness about Climbing Out, inspire and motivate others and raise funds, as well as giving all those involved a goal to work towards through the challenges of lockdown.
It's going to be tough, but hey, that's why we've got to do it!
