Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

I work for Unum Ltd and along with the help of Jackie Elliott we are raising awareness and money for this year’s corporate charity the Alzheimer's Society.

Management Services have put together a team of Elite* Athletes** for an endurance challenge of Rowing for 24 hours. We will be changing every 30 minutes but don't worry the rowing doesn't stop because we have more than 1 machine.

The Event:

·           Rowing to start at 1pm on Friday the 20th of September.

·           The event ends at 1pm on Saturday the 21 of September (World Alzheimer’s Day)

·           Based in the relax area of the canteen.

·           30 minute sections split between the team.

The Team:

·           Nick Holman (Rowing Full Event)

·           Ryan Cornell (Rowing Full Event)

·           Paul Hailey (Rowing Full Event)

·           Paul Bartlett (Rowing Full Event)

·           Paul McLaughlin (Rowing Full Event)

·           Chris Osborn (Rowing Full Event)

·           Paul Stables (Rowing Full Event)

·           Corinne Summerfield (Rowing Part Event / Support Team)

·           Jackie Elliott (Support Team)

·           Gemma McFadyen (Support Team)

·           Regi Taylor (Support Team)

·           Marco Forato (Guest Rower)

·           Aga Rouse (Guest Rower)

There are 48, 30 minute slots around the clock that will be divided equally amongst the Rowers. There will also be competitions alongside the event to see how far we can row to our office in Chattanooga! come and cheer us on to find out more.

That’s the event in a nut shell, please dig deep and donate.

*When I used the term 'Elite' earlier, I really mean about average?

**The use of 'Athletes' was to provide the English dictionary with another definition of Irony.
