We fund research to stop prostate cancer killing men

Story

I am still here more than 14 years after surgery for prostate cancer with no chemo or radiotherapy, so volunteering in aid of Prostate Cancer UK to raise awareness and funds has been my way of giving something back. Play2Support, a social enterprise, works with golf clubs because the membership is mostly men and the average age has now risen to over 60, the target age for this disease. I charge no fees or expenses...all money raised goes directly to the charity either through this website or through me via cash.

WHAT'S HAPPENING IN 2024:

Alston Moor Golf Club Annual 4BBB Friday 6th September...open to all ages, gender and handicap. Last year we raised over £4000

Toilet Rolls...essity Prudhoe Mill has kindly donated 1350 toilet rolls (150 x 9 roll packs) for prizes and donations.

On our separate site, Paul's Talks...a set of 5 talks covering a wide range of topics given to Women's Institutes, men's groups and other interested organisations.

So far Play2Support has helped to raise well in excess of £16,500. Much of this goes directly to the charity via cheques but some comes in via our Just Giving pages. Our aim is to top £20,000 by the end of the year. Please donate generously!
