Run Britannia: 1,066 miles running from Lands End to John O Groats · 3 June 2023

Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for East Sussex, West Sussex, Brighton and Hove and South East Hampshire, caring for 300 children and young adults from 0-19 years of age every year, both at the hospice and in families’ own homes.

Story

On June 3rd I will set out from Lands End on a 5-week running journey from toe to tip of the UK. The total distance will be 1,066 miles, with an average of 34 miles per day and up to 1,500m elevation each day (that's the equivalent of going up Ben Nevis).

Chestnut Tree Children's Hospice is one of three charities I am raising money for; the other 2 being Cornwall Air Ambulance and Keswick Mountain Rescue. Please donate to whichever charity you prefer.

Chestnut Tree House is a children’s charity in Sussex providing hospice care and community support for children and young people with life-limiting conditions. There are hundreds of children and young people in the local community who are unlikely to reach adulthood. These children, their parents and family members need care, help and support on their journey, as they don't know how long they will have together. Your support helps families to spend time together, creating precious moments that give a lifetime of memories.
