Raising money for Chestnut Tree House Children's Hospice, Keswick Mountain Rescue Team and Cornwall Air Ambulance Trust

Story

On June 3rd I will set out from Lands End on a 5-week running journey from toe to tip of the UK. The total distance will be 1,066 miles, with an average of 34 miles per day and up to 1,500m elevation each day (that's the equivalent of going up Ben Nevis).

I am raising money for 3 charities, all close to my heart for various but related reasons. The charities are appropriately scattered across the country: Cornwall Air Ambulance, Chestnut Tree Children's Hospice in Sussex, and Keswick Mountain Rescue. Please donate to whichever charity you prefer. If you click on one of my names below, it takes you to the individual fundraising page. Unfortunately I can't work out how to make it more obvious, and the order of the links keeps changing as it lists the charity with the most sponsorship raised first (just to keep us all confused).

If you do not have a strong preference, please donate to the charity with the least amount donated so far. I am not expecting anyone to donate to all three!

Training is going well so far. Last week I managed 150 miles over 5 days in sunny Devon; two weeks before I was in a very cold Lake District with a wind chill of minus 15 degrees and trying to avoid slipping on the ice. I'm eating A LOT - even more than normal. I have about 4 more weeks of intensive training followed by a gradual taper which I am looking forward to!
