Event: Walkie Talkie Tower Climb 2020, on 29 February 2020
Participants: The JDM Team at GOSH
Team: Team JDM
Take on the only tower run challenge with its finish in a sky-scraping urban oasis. Climb the capital's legendary Walkie Talkie building to its unique Sky Garden summit and raise money to help seriously ill children at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Story

The first child I cared for with Juvenile Dermatomyositis (JDM) was in June 1998, and since then, I have nursed many brave young people with this disease. Recently I have been doing my PhD looking into improving the psychosocial care we provide UK wide and spent time discussing JDM care in many countries.

Our JDM pot of money which helps supports all we do is rather low at the moment, and without this, we can't keep improving things for the future. Therefore, the team I work with, led by my Supervisor Professor Lucy Wedderburn, are crazily attempting to climb the 36 floors, 896 steps up the Walkie Talkie Builiding in London on Saturday 29th Feb.

Please support us to help us reach our target, and bring the Oxygen tanks!
