WALK IT Swansea · 2 June 2018 ·

We’re the UK’s leading charity for Crohn’s and Colitis. Right now, over 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. We’re working to improve diagnosis and treatment; to fund research and to raise awareness.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I hope you can take the time to donate

I have never been the healthiest person. I was constantly ill as a child and my immune system never seemed to improve as I got older. Eventually trips to the doctors and hospital confirmed that I was one of the 300,000 people within the UK living with an invisible illness.

Ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease can be debilitating and cause other issues in other parts of the body, not only causing digestive issues but problem with joints, malnutrition, malabsorption, poor immune system and weight issues.

I have come to a point where my flare ups are becoming less with better control over diet and looking after myself. Alot of the advise and support I received came from Crohn's and Colitis UK's support streams. I made the decision to give something back to the community that helps fund the vital research so myself and my mum and going to take part in the WALK IT 2018 10k sponsored walk in Swansea, June 2nd.

Even if you only have spare change to give, every penny counts. I would really love to smash the £300 target, if you could help that would be amazing.
