During an ordinary Proms season, there is hardly a concert that is not followed by a collection for musical charities. On your way out of the Royal Albert Hall, you would meet the friendly collectors with their yellow buckets inviting you to make donations to the charities chosen for that season.

Last year, there was no live audience at all, so we moved our charity collections online. This year, the live audience is back, but logistics for collections would be rather difficult, especially given the limited availability of promming tickets.

Of course, we would not want to deprive you of the opportunity to make charitable donations as part of your Proms experience and we would certainly not want to leave the charities without our support. We have therefore decided to continue the tradition of virtual collections this year and allow you to make donations at your leisure.
