Story

Masters and Masons Forum present a Macclesfield Forest Walk on behalf of 2027 Festival on Saturday 1st October starting at 9am.

The peak of Shutlingsloe is known as the Cheshire Matterhorn because of its unusual shape’ A group of Cheshire Freemasons and their friends and families are going to walk to the summit to raise funds for the 2027 Cheshire Festival which gives money to good causes locally and nationally. The walk is around 5 miles in length and involves some steep climbing, but the views are wonderful from the top – one of the highest points in Cheshire. The walk will take approximately 3 hours. This was done last year and was found to
be very enjoyable and a great experience with a lot comradery and friendship.
