Story

Dr Amy Kavanagh is a visually impaired activist & campaigner who has been supported by Guide Dogs UK for the last 4 years.

In November Amy was paired with her first Guide Dog, a clever, independent and sassy golden retriever called Ava.

Together Amy and Ava have become a team, supporting each other to navigate the world!

Ava has made such a huge difference to Amy's life, giving her back her independence and confidence after such a difficult year during the Covid-19 pandemic. With Ava by her side, once again Amy can go out and feel safe.

To thank Guide Dogs UK for bringing Ava into her life, Amy wants to raise enough money to Sponsor A Puppy!

With your donation please give a name suggestion and it will go to the vote on Amy's twitter page when we reach our target

You can find Amy @BlondeHistorian and of course Ava has all the social media, find her on twitter, insta and Tiktok @GuideDogAva

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
