Ukraine has faced almost eight years of conflict. With recent events, we want to be there for everyone who needs us

Story

Many pupils, staff and parents have rightly asked, what can we do to help the people in Ukraine and those refugees who have fled with their loved ones? The Community Service Team and Queen Mary's Friends have organised two ways in which we can 'do our bit' to support people in this humanitarian crisis.

Local Campaign - Yorkshire to Ukraine:
A number of parents and members of the Queen Mary's family will be driving vans over to the Ukraine. Donations of specific items can be brought to the Outer Hall. Thank you to Queen Mary's Friends who have offered to take them to the drop off point in Thirsk.

Baby essentials - nappies, wipes
Sanitary items
Personal hygiene - toothbrushes, soap, shampoo, conditioner
Dry pet food

Donations:
The British Red Cross plays a vital role in emergency response. As part of the Disaster Emergency Committee your donation will reach families in the Ukraine and border countries.

£10 could provide a hygiene kit to a family of five, giving them supplies to stay healthy for a month
