Through undergoing kidney dialysis at units in Belfast City, Dundonald and Altnagelvin Hospitals (as well as a catalogue of hospitals throughout the UK, Ireland, Europe, USA and Middle East) Michael knows it takes just one thing to make a change to the life and experience of a dialysis patient!

Over the years Michael has hosted quizzes on his dialysis wards (while on dialysis himself) to help lift the spirits of his fellow patients and try make their sessions feel shorter and happier.

Michael has also hosted quizzes at work and other venues in order to raise much needed funds for the various units he was a patient.

Now that Michael has received his kidney transplant – the most precious gift - from his son, he has recreated these quizzes online during lockdown in an effort to keep people  connected and mentally active.
