Sedgefield Racecourse employees are participating in the 2016 Great North Run.

Over 20 volunteers have formed a team named the Racecourse Runners and have committed to raising funds for the ABF Soldiers Charity.

To date, with the help of sponsors and supporters the racecourse has raised over £80,000 for the charity and the aim from this challenge is to raise a minimum of £6000 from the run.

The team are committing to an intense training regime and are hoping to all complete the run in under 2 hours 30 minutes.  Early morning runs before starting work are to become the norm for Team Sedgefield as well as High Intensity Training Sessions, Swimming and Pilates.
