Whilst at the HAEi committee meeting in San Diego last November, I took part in the HAE in Motion 5k San Diego, raising awareness and support for HAEA. I loved how many people joined in (runners and walkers), doing their bit to help raise awareness of HAE in America. I would love to take part in another, so I have set myself a challenge: For each HAE in Motion 5k that takes place in America, I will run/walk 5k here in the UK. Last year there were 9 HAE in Motion 5k events and there are 13 events planned throughout 2017, so far. I hope to be able to raise awareness of HAE and also to raise funds for HAE UK, to help continue the support for all patients in the UK being diagnosed and requiring better treatment for their HAE.

I will list the dates of the events as I know them and if anyone would like to join me for one or more of the 5k events (either meeting somewhere or taking part remotely) that would be fantastic.
