In 1996, our family was suddenly and unexpectedly thrown into the strange, alien and terrifying world of international kidnapping when our uncle was taken hostage in Colombia. For seven months, we had no idea if he was alive or dead. We were afraid, confused and had no idea who to trust. Thankfully, he came home alive and well. 

Years later, Rachel met Terry and Carlo as they were setting up Hostage UK (as it was then) and they asked her to get involved. Eventually, she became the first Director and then moved to the US to set up a sister organization for American hostages. 

Over the years, Ed has raised thousands of pounds for Hostage UK / Hostage International, inspired by our family's experience. 

We know how vital Hostage International is. They walk alongside families like ours, every single step of the way.
