Story
Despite saying my marathon days were over after my solo marathon in 2020, here we are again! I couldn’t quite hang up my marathon shoes until I had completed the London Marathon which has been on my bucket list for years. So on October 2nd 2022, I will be running the London Marathon for The Anaphylaxis Campaign.
Why The Anaphylaxis Campaign? https://www.anaphylaxis.org.uk/
My brother Stephen was born with severe potentially fatal allergies to eggs, nuts, dairy and shellfish. The Anaphylaxis Campaign is the only UK wide charity that aims to support those with severe allergies through educating and informing families, the food industry and health professionals. It provides information and guidance to Anaphylaxis sufferers as well as working to make parts of communities safer for sufferers such as schools.
The Anaphylaxis Campaign was a massive support to my parents when Stee was growing up and now he is older he uses them for support and guidance. I want to ensure that others with severe allergies will be supported by The Anaphylaxis Campaign in the same way that my family have and continue to be.
Thanks for the support!
Rachel xx
