Reading to Remember · 8 June 2017

On July 12, the Waterloo Uncovered team of archaeologists and veterans will commemorate the Battle of Waterloo by reading personal & historical accounts, for 12 hours, in the Hougoumont farm chapel.

Story

Waterloo Uncovered combines a world-class archaeology project at Waterloo with support for the military community. Every year, an international team of archaeologists and serving and ex-serving personnel unite their skills & experiences to uncover & understand the remains of the 200-years-old battle site. WU helps veterans with welfare, transition and recovery. Archaeology offers opportunities to everyone no matter their ability or injury and all participants learn new skills, build confidence, and open up to new possibilities, and new people.
