On 15th September 2018, I will challenge myself with a 13-14 day hike on the North of Spain.

I will start from the city of Oviedo, in Asturias, a walk through hills and mountains to complete a total of 345 KM (214.37 miles) in 13/14 days. Arriving to my destination in Santiago de Compostela (Galicia) on the 28th September.

This Hike -The Camino Primitivo or Original Camino- is the oldest Camino de Santiago route, as this was the route followed by King Alfonso II in the 9th century.

The first stage of the Camino Primitivo, across the mountains (climb a couple mountains with an altitude of 1200km), is one of the most challenging of all the Camino routes but the scenery is breathtaking!

It won’t be easy but I hope it will help to raise some money for Forward Facing… Feel free to donate any extra pennies you can spare.

This 13 days hike it is nothing compared with the work Forward Facing does every day. FF aims to give children and young people with long term or life threatening conditions a chance to transform themselves; to forget their daily struggles, have fun, express their personalities and make lasting memories for them and their families.
