One of the two wedding promises I made to my beautiful and loving wife Sandra was that I will stop smoking when she gets pregnant. Who would have thought that it would take 8 1/2 years until I would have to keep that promise...

Alma Lucy our baby girl is now 11 weeks old. Needless to say that after almost 25 years and a pack of cigarettes day it was not the easiest task to stop (I felt like s***t for months) but running “Laufen statt rauchen” certainly helped a lot. As of now I have NOT smoked for 10 months 15 days and 23 hours - that is 6440 cigarets NOT smoked. Eleven years ago I ran the Berlin Marathon and did not drink alcohol for 1/2 year “laufen statt Saufen”, this time I want to combine it with raising funds for a good cause.
