Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The Christie hospital in Manchester operated on me in 2009 - that operation bought me time with my family. The Raise the Distance fundraiser is to secure funding for our charity Pseudomyxoma Survivor. The charity is dear to my heart and just one of the things we do is to help those that need financial support to get to one of the few specialists centres in the country. I'm fortunate I only needed to travel 50 miles, many others travel 100's of miles to have life-saving surgery. The surgery is known as the Mother of all Surgeries and it's intense, hospitals stays are long and the physical hurdles to overcome are very difficult. I want to raise £100 to help someone else, so I'm upping my daily walks and over the next few weeks I will walk 100 miles. Thank you for any donation you can make - it's really does help out those that often have no-one else to turn to.
