Story
As a certified arborist for 47 years, I've supported The Tree Fund (TTF) a national non profit organization focused on providing grants for efforts to improve safety, research and innovation in the tree industry. One of The Tree Funds main sources of funding is its annual Tour de Trees (TDT) event.
Fashioned after the Tour de France bike ride, but thankfully on a much smaller scale, the Ride has averaged 400+ miles over 5 days in some of the most picturesque parts of our nation. This year the TdT will start in Reno Nevada and criss cross from Lake Tahoe through the Central Valley, into San Jose and ending on the breathtaking coastline of Half Moon Bay. Along the way TTF supports education in schools and supports other community events.
I'm proud that I've supported The Tree Fund through my participation in past TdT rides, but this year I'm seeking support for what will be my last big Tour de Trees ride. My goal is to exceed $3,700 so I'm asking for your financial donation and I hope you'll give generously. I'll be retiring my bike saddle for my horse saddle. After hip replacement in March, I've decided to swap bike rides for trail rides on my horse, Luna.
I hope you'll generously support the Tree Fund and "My Last Big Ride."
