Sheku and I are proud to once again serve on the host committee for Horton's Kids' annual Give Thanks and Give Back event on November 16, 2022, at the Fairmont Hotel.

The communities Horton's Kids serves are among the most under-resourced in all of Washington, DC. Wellington Park and Stanton Oaks are profoundly impacted by decades of disinvestment and barriers to opportunity. 

For 33 years, Horton's Kids has been fighting inequality to ensure every child graduates from high school ready to succeed in college, career, and life. The organization operates two Community Resource Centers, which reach 600 participants and their families, and offers a comprehensive array of programs. The impact of these programs is dramatic: 

• Participants enrolled in Horton's Kids programs are twice as likely to graduate from high school compared to their peers living in the same communities. 

Horton's Kids aims to raise more than $250,000 this fall. Our goal is to raise $500 toward this goal in addition to our sponsorship. We are asking you to join us in creating lasting change in the lives of these deserving young people. Please, consider making a donation.
