Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Simon Buckley has just undertaken the Camino de Santiago in north-west Spain, one of the many ancient pilgrim routes leading to Compostela de Santiago.

Simon covered the 120 Km / 75 miles route over three and a half days through the beautiful Galician countryside in aid of Parkinson's Jersey

The Inglés route starts in the port town of Ferrol and climbs approximately 2,500m finally plateauing for the last few Km's into Santiago.

Carrying everything you need adds to the challenge especially if you over pack!

This Pilgrimage follows on from last year's Marathon du Medoc completed with colleague Simon Gale.  Camino Inglés didn't involve running but rather walking three marathons back to back!

Simon is now planning next year's challenge.

Any donations big or small would be very welcome.  Having completed the walk it would be great to raise some much-welcomed funds for the Jersey branch of Parkinson's UK.
